You will meet some of the most ambitious young farmers at Les Fermes Turmel Inc., based in the Beauce town of Sainte-Marie. The farm was founded in 1984 by brothers Clément and Louis Turmel, and it’s now run by their respective sons Jean-Philippe, Nicolas and Benoit, who took ownership in 2012. Together, they manage 625 heads of dairy cattle, including 300 lactating cows, along with 1,350 acres of crops and a 15,000-tap sugar bush. The farm truly stands out for the quality of its work. Case in point? Its herd received the Master Breeder Award from Holstein Canada on two occasions, first in 1996 and later in 2011.

To further expand their business, the farmers recently acquired two new Fendt 942 tractors with 420 HP of engine power. These machines are fully equipped to handle laborious harvesting, spreading and land preparation tasks. They are known for their superior power, smart capabilities and versatility, which allows farms to maximize their use across a wide range of operations.

“We’ve been satisfied with Fendt tractors for several years now, and we wanted to continue investing in quality machinery that offers great comfort and easy handling for operators in all sorts of conditions,” Jean-Philippe Turmel explains.

The Turmel farmers put their trust in SA Service Agricole for this important acquisition. SA Service Agricole is more than just a farm machinery supplier: it employs a dedicated team that welcomes each client as a member of its big family. The company is active in six regions of Quebec and supports agricultural producers far beyond the initial sale. It provides ongoing personalized service with a human touch, from machinery selection to on-site follow-ups and mechanical maintenance.

SA Service Agricole works in close contact with its customers, provides continuing education to all staff members, and respects each farm’s unique reality. It nurtures, and most importantly values, relationships that go beyond the transactional. The company was founded by members of the farming community, and it earned a solid reputation for after-sales service by fostering long-term customer trust.

Collaborating with SA Service Agricole empowered Les Fermes Turmel Inc. to continue its growth, knowing that a skilled and understanding team is always ready to offer support as needed and lead it to success, now and for generations to come.
